Role: Owner/President of 5K Commercial Roofing LLC, which includes but is not limited to managing and assisting our sales team, production management and running the day-to-day activities.
Experience: Over 35 years, he started in the industry in 1990 as a laborer during the summer months while in college when he decided to take on a full-time role in sales where he found meeting new people and solving problems for customers to be very satisfying. He started 5K Commercial Roofing in August of 2016.
Career Highlights: One project that really stands out over the years was securing the materials and donating the labor hours to install a new roof at women’s shelter that happened to be in dire need.
Expertise: Attention to detail and dedication to our employees and customers are among the things he prides himself in.
Motivation: Seeing others excel and accomplish their goals as well as having a successful year that will benefit all helps him stay motivated.

Advice to New Team Members: "The only stupid question is the one not asked"
Personal Interests: Enjoys boating and spending time at the lake with friends and family and gardening. Something you might not have guessed is that he likes to watch B rated horror flicks. When asked Cats or Dogs? - Dogs for the win!
Fun Fact: Favorite book is The Bible and enjoys self-help podcasts and books by Tony Robbins.
Role: Sales-Inspects existing commercial roofs and provides tailored solutions; also handles new construction estimates.
Experience: Over 40 years in commercial roofing; started as a laborer, led a crew, then transitioned into sales in 1990. Has been with 5K Commercial Roofing for nearly 6 years.
Career Highlights: Won a national industry award for a historic renovation project in Cleveland, Ohio involving roofs on 8 buildings.
Expertise: Deep knowledge of a wide range of roof systems gained through decades of hands-on experience.
Motivation: Driven by customer service values-compassion, respect and honesty.
Work at 5K: Appreciates the professionalism, strong earning potential, and good work/life balance the company offers.
Advice to New Team Members: "Put in the work and you will reap the reward"
Personal Interests: Enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, and raising livestock (beef cattle, chickens). Also likes fine china, crystal glassware, and silverware. He prefers the beach to the mountains.
Fun Fact: Favorite book is Trap lines North.
Role: Service Manager- oversees service calls and focuses on keeping our customers happy and taken care of every day.
Experience: Over 6 years in the industry with 5K- recently stepping into the service manager role about 5 months ago.
Career Highlights: One project that stands out is having been part of the shingle replacement at his parent’s home. It was to him a meaningful way to put his skills to use for people who matter most.
Expertise: Johnny brings diversity and a smile with everything he does, staying positive and supporting those around him all while fostering a growing knowledge base and improving workflow strategies to improve operations.
Motivation: To stay focused during the workday he sets personal goals daily, weekly and monthly to always keep moving forward in his role, especially towards meeting 5K’s service goal this year.
Work at 5K: Appreciates the dedication amongst those he works with as well as the innovation and passion much of the team displays. He also enjoys the company tradition of a Christmas party as it’s a great way to connect with everyone.
Advice to New Team Members: "Stay positive and do not be hesitant to ask for help"
Personal Interests: Hanging out with friends and family, playing basketball and hanging out with his two cats- something most people are surprised to learn about him. When asked to choose pizza or tacos, tacos win!
Fun Fact: He’s a big fan of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast.
Role: Administrative Assistant – focusing on helping streamline the inner office workflow and helping wherever the need is.
Experience: Recently joined the 5K team and the industry, previous experience with team Management as director of rehab in a long-term care setting.
Career Highlights: A highlight for me is when I can help someone reach their personal goals by using skills I have obtained throughout my career.
Expertise: Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal communication skills, proficient in a wide range of computer applications, document preparation and data entry. Former Medical professional with a solid foundation in confidentiality and accuracy under pressure bringing a unique combination of administrative expertise.
Motivation: I run on coffee and to do lists. There’s nothing more satisfying to me than checking things off. Lists keep me focused and productive.
Work at 5K: After working in a large corporate setting, I truly value the closeknit, family-oriented atmosphere we have here at 5K Commercial Roofing. I am really looking forward to the company outing at Cedar Point this year.
Advice to New Team Members: “Don’t worry-we were all new at one point. You’ll get the hang of it, and we are all here to help each other.”
Personal Interests: Spending time with family and friends, and my German Shepherd “Sarge”. I also love gardening (veggies and flowers), walking and reading a good book!

Experience: 4 Years with 5K and Former business owner
Career Highlights: Successfully managing a business and emphasizing customer service.
Expertise: Known for being detail oriented, I consistently provide high quality customer service, catching errors before they affect clients and maintaining smooth operations.
Motivation: I thrive on being productive, turning tasks into results and seeing projects through start to finish.
Work at 5K: 5K has a family atmosphere where we are motivated to succeed and we are proud of our work, we share common goals and objectives that unite the team. I look forward to the annual Christmas Party.
Advice to New Team Members: “Treat all other employees with kindness”
Personal Interests: Outside of work I like to experience different events including music events and I enjoy baking.
Fun Fact: Favorite Series Madmen
Role: Currently transitioning to Sale role while training my replacement to take over my Finance Management role.
Experience:: I’ve worked for 5K for 5 years
Career Highlights:: Transitioned into finance manager role after working in the field for 4 years
Expertise: Bring a unique knowledge base having worked in the field and as the finance manager and actively training to become a sales technician as I plan to sharpen my technical knowledge and become a contributing member to the sales team
Motivation: Prioritizing one thing at a time and breaking down each task individually to achieve each goal easier
Work at 5K: As one of the Ks in 5K, I appreciate the strong familyoriented culture of the company. It provides a motivating environment while still maintaining a relaxed and supportive atmosphere.
Advice to New Team Members: “Be yourself and be coachable”
Personal Interests:Hanging out with my dogs and family, playing basketball, and lifting weights. Breaking Bad is my all-time favorite show and at one time I had a nice collection of Jordan sneakers.
Role: Commercial and Residential roofing Salesperson and Field supervisor.
Experience: Over 47 years of experience working in the construction industry, 30 of those years as owner/operator of Weathertight Construction, joined the 5K team in Jan of 2025.
Career Highlights: A highlight of my work was the copper steeple project at Our Lady Queen of Peace.
Expertise: My expertise in the industry is built on quality craftmanship.
Motivation: Getting the job done right the first time keeps me motivated- it means more time to enjoy life.
Work at 5K: 5K has good, quality people wanting to work together, one goal I have for the future is to improve my computer skills to become quicker with the paperwork.
Advice to New Team Members: “Do the job correct the first time”
Personal Interests: Outside of work I like golfing and gardening, at one time I even enjoyed auto racing. I prefer coffee over tea, the beach over the mountains and summer over winter.
Fun Fact: Favorite Series Yellowstone.
Role: In sales, I meet with customers, put together project quotes, talk with suppliers, and coordinate with the team to keep projects moving. And yes, I also make time to enjoy lunch.
Experience: I recently joined the 5K team this summer, but I’ve been working in roofing, siding, and gutters since 1998. Over the years, I’ve gained hands-on experience that helps me tackle projects efficiently and effectively.
Career Highlights: One of the highlights of my career was completing a full installation of wood shake siding. It was a challenging project that really showcased my skills and attention to detail.
Expertise: I’m a talker by nature, which helps me connect easily with clients and get along great with the team.
Motivation: I stay motivated by learning new things and finding ways to grow both personally and professionally.
Work at 5K: I love that 5K has a family-like environment where everyone is incredibly helpful. I really appreciate being a part of the team and contributing to that culture. I look forward to finding my place.
Advice to New Team Members: “Be open to learning new things, ask questions, share information, ideas and be on time”
Personal Interests: Outside of work, I enjoy attending my kids’ sporting events, watching their plays, and traveling to new places. I’m more of a dog person than a cat person, and if I could have a superpower, it would be super strength rather than invisibility. My favorite podcast is Drink Champs, and I won’t lie—I’ve been known to shed a tear during a powerful movie or song.
Role: My role combines sales support with hands-on project coordination.
Experience: 33 years, I’ve gained extensive hands-on experience in the trades industry starting at age 14, which now informs my work in sales and project management.
Career Highlights: The Geauga Maintenance Barn Project stands out as a milestone in my career, marking my first time managing a project of this scale.
Expertise: I bring dedication, determination, and a practical, hands-on approach to every project. I focus on getting things done right and keeping projects moving smoothly from start to finish.
Motivation: Staying motivated comes naturally to me, and I bring that energy to every project and task I take on.
Work at 5K: 5K is a place where I can grow both personally and professionally. Team-oriented culture makes it easy to learn from others and contribute meaningfully, and I’m always looking for ways to improve—like sharpening my computer skills.
Advice to New Team Members: “Ask Questions, stay Busy and Be positive”
Personal Interests: : I enjoy hiking, including summiting Emerald Ridge at Mt. Rainier, and staying active outdoors. My Favorite book is The Art of the Deal. Outside of work, I love watching my kids play their favorite sports and spending quality time with family.
Role: Sales- primarily estimating new projects and meeting with the customers.
Experience: Over 9 years in the industry, all nine years with 5K Commercial roofing where he began working with the company while still in High School.
Career Highlights: One project does not stand out above another; he takes great pride in all of them.
Expertise: Something unique he brings to the team is a positive attitude paired with a growing knowledge of the industry. Something many are surprised to know is that he graduated from the University of Miami Ohio in 2022 with a bachelors degree in business management and eCommerce.
Motivation: Setting personal goals that will be a greater part of the company’s success. With this year’s goal being to create more work for 5K than he did last year.
Work at 5K: Appreciates the family-oriented culture of 5K where everyone knows each other, it’s a lot of fun, in particular the yearly fishing trip to Canada and the company Christmas party as well.
Advice to New Team Members: “Bring a positive attitude each day and be an effective communicator.”
Personal Interests: He likes to travel and hang out with friends when he is not working. If it’s between owning a dog or a cat, he prefers dogs.
Fun Fact: His favorite TV shows are Stranger Things and Bar Rescue.
Role: Office and Human Resources Manager overseeing HR processes with a focus on employee well being ensuring our team is supported.
Experience: Transitioned from a career as a travel coordinating manager to HR / Office manager over nine years ago .
Career Highlights: 5K Commercial Roofings Safety Program.
Expertise: I have a well-rounded background in various areas of business and a personal goal I have is to continue building the safety program

Personal Interests: Outside of work I enjoy traveling and spending time with family, I’d rather go to the beach than the mountains.
Fun Fact: I like to watch the Morning Show, but I am a night owl too!
